Floor Flatness Analysis
3D Scan Consultants’ dedicated modeling team can compare floor surfaces within a point cloud to a geometrically generated flat plane within our software. We are then able to extract measurements from multiple points within the floors and arrive at precise figures to illustrate deviations from true flatness. Analysis data is presented in both tabloid, and in a visual “color map” format. This study is useful prior to installation of new plant equipment and for new builds where floor flatness is required to meet criteria for building code compliance.
Transportation-Auto, Aero, Marine
Our 3D Scanners can generate excellent surface data results for most subjects from smaller vehicles to ships & aircraft. For smaller projects like vehicles, our clients typically use this data for recreation of existing surfaces or for reference for the design of additional features and modifications. Larger projects include laboratories and engine/pump rooms in which our client’s need to understand existing, and often complex, MEP prior to the planning, design & installation of additional systems.
Forensic Scanning
3D Scan Consultants long range terrestrial scanners gather excellent, accurate 3D data of areas where an accident or crime event has occurred. We can scan these areas in full color, and sometimes with high-definition imagery, to enable our clients to thoroughly analyze the area surrounding these events. 3D Scan Consultants gather this data for the purposes of forensic analysis of crash and crime scene events and re-creating virtual crime scenes for court.
